Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data the SAEPL User and SAEPL Distributor apps collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to both apps and to the SAEPL marketplace backend that powers them.
01 Who we are
SAEPL (Shree Annadata E-Commerce Pvt Ltd) runs a marketplace that connects farmers with distributors of agricultural products and services. The SAEPL User app is used by farmers and other customers to browse categories, shops and offers. The SAEPL Distributor app is used by approved distributors to manage their shop listing and discounts. Both apps talk to the same SAEPL backend, so this one policy covers both.
02 Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to create your account, verify it, and run the marketplace.

We do not ask for your camera, photo library, contacts or location through the operating system — see App permissions. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs in either app, so no usage data is collected for advertising purposes.
03 How we use it
- To create, verify and approve your farmer or distributor account.
- To let you sign in securely and keep your session authenticated.
- To show you categories, shops, discounts and offers relevant to your account type.
- To let distributors manage their own shop listing and discount offers.
- To respond to messages you send us through the contact-us form.
- To detect misuse, keep accounts secure, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not use your personal data to serve third-party advertising.
04 How we store and protect it
- Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure, encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
- Passwords are never stored as plain text — only a salted cryptographic hash is kept, and we cannot read your password.
- Uploaded documents and photos are kept in a private storage container. They are not publicly browsable; access is granted only through short-lived, time-limited links generated for an authorized viewer.
- Administrative access to personal data is limited to SAEPL staff who need it to operate the marketplace.
05 Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited cases:
- Infrastructure providers — Microsoft Azure stores and processes data on our behalf, under its own data-processing terms, solely to run the SAEPL service.
- Within the marketplace — a distributor's shop name and public listing details are visible to customers browsing the app; a customer's personal contact details are not shared with distributors beyond what an order or query requires.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of SAEPL or others.
No advertising or analytics partners
Neither app includes third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, so no data is shared with ad networks or analytics companies.
06 Retention and deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. Documents you uploaded are deleted as part of account deletion.
07 Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Withdraw consent for optional data, such as your profile photo.
To exercise any of these, use the contact details in section 11.
08 App permissions
Both apps request only the device permission needed to talk to our servers over the internet. They do not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage permissions.
09 Children's privacy
Our apps are intended for farmers, distributors and adult customers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the apps change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and revision number. Continued use of either app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
